Do you want to know how to get more Facebook live viewers? Do you want to know how to make more money and have more sales on your Facebook lives? Well, let me tell you some tips that I’ve learned.
1. Post your live schedule.
If you say, “I’m going to go live on Monday” and then you don’t go live on Monday, but you do on Tuesday, how are your customers going to know when to watch you? When you post your schedule, make sure you stick to it! If you want to watch The Big Bang Theory or some TV show, you don’t watch TV all day long trying to find it. You know every Thursday at six o’clock, that’s when that TV show is on, so that’s when you show up.
2. Do more Facebook lives.
I want to really, really encourage you to do more lives, to be consistent. Instead of going live once a week, can you go two? Or three? Or even five times a week? When I really started getting into Facebook lives, I started out with one little eyeball in the corner. One little viewer. That’s kind of discouraging right? You get on there and only one person shows up. You wonder if it is even worth your time… But you know what happens? People come back at night and watch the replay. You get sales overnight. Or one person might tell their friend, and then their friend comes and watches you tomorrow. You never know how many people will see the replay, so don’t get discouraged if you only have one or two viewers to start.
3. Post a Facebook Live teaser.
Let’s say I’m going to go live Monday at seven o’clock. So Monday morning, I post on my Facebook page, “Hey! I’m going live at seven o’clock! What are you doing at that time”? Make sure you ask a question on your teaser posts. Get them to interact because that boosts the algorithms on Facebook and gives your customers something to think and be excited about!
4. Use a notification system.
We use ManyChat to send out notifications when we go live. We’ve also used Mobile Text Alerts for this in the past. There are many different notification systems out there, but the point is that you want to collect your customer’s information so you can send them a notification when you go live! If you want people to come and find your Facebook live, they need to know where and when to find you. If you don’t have a notification system set up, you can even message friends and family to let them know what time you are going to be live and ask them to come and join you!
5. Encourage interaction on your Facebook lives.
Ask questions on your lives! You can ask, “What’s your favorite color? What’s your favorite TV show from when you were a kid? What are you doing today”? This is a great way to start conversations with your customers! It also boosts the Facebook algorithm because you have more comments and engagement on your live!
6. Have fun!
Get your energy up! Do something to get you excited and show people that you’re fun to be with. I like to wear silly hats. You can wear a costume, you can sing songs, you can do anything! Sometimes that’s outside of our comfort zone, but it’s okay. You want to step out of that comfort zone and have more fun!
7. Have share winner drawings.
Ask your customers to share with their friends or on their Facebook page. Write down the names of your customers that shared your live, put their names in, and pull out a winner to send a free piece of jewelry to!
8. Get to know your customers.
People buy from people that they like, know, and trust. Talk to your customers and really get to know them personally. I find that some of my best friends are my customers! When you ask them questions, it makes them feel important.
I want to challenge you! I want you to go live just one more time a week than what you’re doing right now. So if you go live once a week, go live twice this week. If you go live three times a week, go four times.
My sales changed drastically when I started going live five times a week. I know it is my job to go live everyday between two and five o’clock. I don’t make appointments during those times, everybody knows not to call me, because that’s when I’ll be live.
You’re going to increase your sales! Go live just one more time a week, maybe two, maybe five. If you already go live every day, trying adding in a flash sale in the morning. I want you to start making a lot of money and to love your customers!
I now get over a hundred, sometimes 200, viewers on my lives. You can too!
